Headquartered in Suzhou New District, Jingmao Express (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., is a domestic transportation manager and distributor. It has branch offices in Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Wenzhou and Wuhan and representative offices in Changchun and Nanjing. With 100 employees, it generated $10 million in gross revenue in 2010.

Jingmao Express has 30 of its own trucks and long-term contracts with subcontractors for an additional 200 trucks. It also has a 5,500 square meter warehouse in Suzhou New District.

For transportation and distribution, Jingmao Express provides both less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload (TL) transportation. For freight over 5,000 kilograms or 15 cubic meters, Jingmao Express arranges TL transportation; otherwise, LTL transportation is provided. The freight originates in Suzhou/Eastern China and is destined for mainly Changzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuhu, Wuxi and Zhenjiang.

In Suzhou, Jingmao Express provides distribution to the convenience stores in each gas station for Sinopec, a major Chinese petroleum company. Because of its good performance in the past years, Sinopec has transferred all its business in the Jiangsu Province to Jingmao Express.

The automotive industry is an area of focus for Jingmao Express. Some of its main customers include Beijing Benz, Mazda, and SHEI&C. Jingmao Express provides milk run service to these customers. For auto parts, the freight from each supplier is only 2-10 cubic meters. Jingmao Express arranges for these shipments to be picked up from three or four suppliers to be combined into a full TL shipment. This has helped its customers not only save money but also time, since the shipping instructions can be handled via the internet.

Ms. Shen Taohua has an experienced background in domestic transportation for both LTL and TL making it easy for her to manage the transportation and distribution services of Jingmao Express. According to Ms Shen Taohua, Jingmao Express will continue its focus on the automotive industry. This should help Jingmao Express in becoming a leader in automotive parts distribution in Eastern China.
