CTC International Logistics Co., Ltd. (CTC) was founded in 1993 as a state-owned company and in 2000 became private. It is headquartered in Xiamen with branch offices in Chongqing, Fuzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. Almost half of its 250 employees are based at its headquarters. It generated $160 million in gross revenue in 2010.

CTC's main business is ocean freight forwarding. It has an NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) license and handled 64,000 TEUs (20’ trailer equivalent units) in 2010. About 90% of the TEUs were exports with 70% destined to Europe and North America, 20% destined to Southeast Asia and the Far East and 10% went to other regions.

CTC also has experience in handling project logistics and break-bulk cargo. CTC is especially strong in helping boat manufacturers and buyers obtain door-to-door transportation service which includes shipping by sea, land and coastal barge transportation, as well as exports/imports customs clearance and exhibition management. Since its foundation, CTC's provided yacht, mono-hull, catamaran, sailboat, etc. transportation to customers in many countries.

In Xiamen, CTC has a 7,000 square meter warehouse, mainly for exports, and in Shanghai, a 4,000 square meter warehouse, mainly for imports. CTC continues to increase its contract logistics business.

CTC uses overseas agents for business development. It had merged with a small, U.S. company for about three years; however, that partnership was unsuccessful. Director/General Manager, Roger Gao, is interested in finding a qualified partner in the U.S. or Germany; a joint venture preferably.

CTC's strength is in ocean freight forwarding and it has a good history of growth. In the coming years, it plans on expanding in contract logistics to involve more of the supply chain and setting up its own offices in the U.S. and Europe to strengthen its network.
