Zhejiang Sea-Win International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. is a mid-sized ocean freight forwarder in the Yangtze Delta area in eastern China. Its headquarters is in Hangzhou and branch offices in Shanghai, Ningbo and Shaoxing. A staff of 250 work in the company.

As an ocean freight forwarder, Sea-Win IFF has an NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) license. Eighty percent of the ocean freight is exports and twenty percent is imports. The main destinations are Southeast Asia, the Far East, Europe and North America with Southeast Asia and the Far East being the majority. Sea-Win IFF signs contracts with main carriers for the lanes where it has big cargo volume. For other lanes, Sea-Win IFF is using another booking agent, but can negotiate with carriers for the freight rate case by case.

For air freight, Sea-Win IFF doesn’t have a Class A license, so its uses other forwarders that have a Class A licenses as booking agents for space from the airlines.

As the main market is in Yangtze Delta area, most of the customers are located in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai and include Lily Group and Hangxiao Steel.

Mr. Henry Cao is in charge of the Shanghai branch office. The Shanghai office is focusing on developing FOB (free on board) business and food imports. Mr. Allen Liu is in charge of food imports. For food imports, most of the shipments are under Ex Works terms. Sea-Win IFF asks the oversea agent to pickup and book containers and air space, and Sea-Win IFF handles imports customs clearance, CIQ (customs, immigration & quarantine), and delivery. As food logistics needs professional experience and the company has big cargo volume for imports, Sea-Win IFF matches most of the customers’ demands. Of course, the company has a significant profit margin. Mr. Allen Liu is training the staff in other branch offices on food imports. We can see why Sea-Win IFF has interest in developing food imports business as the food safety condition in China has good potential to develop and change.

Mr. Henry Cao once worked in Zhejiang Sunmarr International Transportation Co., Ltd. He was in charge of global network and agent development. He has experience in negotiation with foreign partners to start a joint venture company. He understands that it is not easy to sign a deal. His experience will bring value to Sea-Win IFF.

According to Mr. Henry Cao, Sea-Win IFF is open to overseas partners who have interest in developing in the China market together. Sea-Win IFF plans to build a strong network in China to grow its market share.
