Tianjin-headquartered Long Sheng Logistics was founded in 1996 as an ocean freight forwarder focused on LCL (less than container load) shipments. It has 300 employees and branch offices in Beijing, Dalian, Shijiazhuang, Xi’an, and Zhengzhou.

Long Sheng Logistics has both an NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) license for ocean freight and Class A license for air freight. It’s a booking agent for ocean carriers CMA, OOCL, etc. and has contracts with airlines ANA, KE, etc.

For its LCL consolidation service, Long Sheng Logistics has direct service from Tianjin to over 80 ports and transit service from Tianjin to over 1,000 destination ports via Singapore, Dubai, and Antwerp, the main transit ports. Long Sheng Logistics is ECU’s agent in Tianjin. ECU is a top LCL service provider with offices worldwide. Long Sheng Logistics uses ECU as its agent at most of the destination ports. They are partners. Long Sheng Logistics handles 6,000 LCL shipments monthly; around 600 TEUs (20′ container/trailer equivalent units) for its own consolidation service.

For imported sea freight, Long Sheng Logistics is officially approved by Tianjin Customs and is able to operate the import business of manifest registration and issue Delivery Orders to customers directly. The information on each shipment is transferred from Long Sheng Logistics’ office to the customs office through EDI (electronic data interchange) directly. Some MNCs (multinational corporations) have authorized Long Sheng Logistics as their agent for imports. Long Sheng Logistics ranks as a top logistics services provider in Tianjin.

For warehousing, Long Sheng Logistics has a 5,000 square meter warehouse/CFS (container freight station) for export consolidations. It can provide speedy customs clearance to its customers and has the ability to withdraw declaration documents from customs in a timely manner with the efficient support of several professional members.

Long Sheng Logistics also provides transportation for hazardous and cold chain goods. It has 25 trucks for cold chain transportation. In addition, Long Sheng Logistics has a bonded warehouse with 15 tractors to provide port service. It provides a direct trucking service from the Tianjin bonded warehouse to Beijing. This is special service for customers located in Beijing.

Long Sheng Logistics has its own customs broker license and handles 3,000 declarations per month.

Long Sheng Logistics has a good sales team. Most of its customers in eastern and northern China import and export via the Tianjin Port. Its customers include Huiying Apparel, Printronics Circuit and Tiens Biotech.

Long Sheng Logistics is a key player for ocean freight forwarding and an LCL specialist in Tianjin. With the development in northern China, we imagine it will have strong growth in the future. However, it could be more competitive if it builds its own network in the main ports of eastern and southern China such as Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenzhen, etc.
